This morning, I ordered the white mocha from Cafe Euro and it was very good.   It was better than I remembered ordering it when it was previously Caffe Mono.

There's something I love about supporting the indie coffee houses in SF.  They seem to be much more reliable in the way they serve their coffee drinks.  Thanks Cafe Euro!

although at times it is quiet busy, overall it is nice place if you live around  and don't want to travel to starbucks or somewhere else. Just don't come at busy time and you will be ok. it has internet and lots of space to seat.

So slow I had to leave! They only had one person working and we were in line standing behind one person and it almost took 20 minutes. There was a line forming out the door. Unbelievable.

Cafe Euro. I pretty much lived here when I was going to school.

Pros:
-The workers are really friendly. Love them!
-There's lots of seating, which is a plus.
-The turkey veggie sandwich is sooooooooooooo delicious!
-The madeleine cookies. Oh my god. So good. White chocolate covered madeleines and chocolate covered madeleines. I could live off of those.
-Vanilla soy chai. MMMMMMMMmmmmmmmM. They always know how to make it the way I like it.
-Jazz piano player on Sat evenings.
-Free Wifi!!!!! swwwweeeeeeeeeettttttt.

Cons:
-No more green tea soy chais. Used to be my favorite.
-The music they play sometimes is kind of hard to concentrate with. Don't know if they've changed it, but sometimes some hip hop would be on..a little un-cafe like.
-The lighting is kind of dim...

The coffee and drinks aren't half-bad. It's just a little dreary in there.
3.5 stars for the coffee, 3.5 stars for the service, 2 stars for the atmosphere.

Just a chill coffee shop. I stopped in here while waiting for a few friends and went in expecting nothing. But it was pretty cool except there were no couches or comfy chairs. More like a metro coffee shop with tables and bar chairs to caberet tables. There was some live music but it was just a guy playing a keyboard in the back.

Pretty good service and my drink was ok, a little on the watery side but not too bad. The only thing I found wrong was the browney. It was hard and with no flavor. I have a fear I grabbed the vegan one ... So I can't ding this place for it, but I mean seriously is that what it was supposed to taste like? My friend had one too and he reacted somewhat similar.
I would come back though if I was in the neighborhood.

Pro: good with pretty large variety, reasonable prices, big and spacious, free wi-fi, well-lit.

Con: the hip-hop music is detering me from studying, bathroom is somewhat clean, and the girl at the counter has not changed the latex gloves she's been wearing for hours.   she touches the register, changed the trash bag, swept the floor, wiped the floor after a guy spilled his drink, and then touches the food and coffee she's serving you.

Pluses: you can always find a seat... free wifi... well lit...  clean...

I guess this is enough for me to come back several times.  Well, I probably wouldn't except that I like my friends and my good friend comes here and we meet up and we are productive together.  People don't bother you here.  (Well, people do stare at you from the outside if you sit near the window, right SK?)

Food is only mediocre.  Service is acceptable.  Prices are okay.

Nothing really fancy here, except that I like the efficiency of work that I know that I can accomplish here instead of trying to find a seat or looking for a seat with an outlet nearby or trying to fit my stuff on the table because the tables are too small.

I was here almost every day this past summer while I subletted a place on Clement.

As everyone else has mentioned, it's a nice place to get some work done and sit around in for hours without feeling annoying -- spacious, lots of seating, electrical outlets everywhere. The wireless really is unreliable though, crashing several times an hour.

The coffee isn't amazing but drinkable, but the sandwiches were actually good and better than I expected. They seem to have problems running out of ingredients a lot though, especially later on in the day. And once, the fruit salad I bought was moldy, but the employee apologized and gave me a refund.

And speaking of employees, they seem to be pretty cool for the most part -- I even made a friend out of one of them, who asked me about the book I was reading one day, and we still keep in touch. Overall, I'd only go here for the space and the late hours.

This place isn't that cozy but it has the right ingredients to be a good spot to hang out for a long period of time.  There are plenty of seats and tables (assorted sizes), free wifi, a few power outlets (not that many though), two terminals for accessing the internet, RESTROOM, couches.  It reminds me of a dorm common room with extra tables.

They have more food options than your typical coffeehouse.  For breakfast and dessert you can choose from, breakfast sandwiches (bagels, croissants), lots of cookies (including vegan ones), several cakes (the Oreo cake looked really good), eclairs, granola and fruit cups.

For lunch/dinner they make sandwiches and toast them in the oven if you want.  They also have savory turnovers.  I had one with broccoli, tomato, mushrooms and cheese - very nice - buttery crust and there was a cute "B" on the pie.  They accept credit cards.  Good lattes.

They attract a diverse clientele including some that are loud...though it's called Cafe Euro, there's nothing particularly European about it.

solid 3.5 stars.

Ambiance - free internet with tons of outlets for laptop users. This is a huge bonus as I know a lot of coffee houses who are too stingy for their own good. Music was tasteful and not too loud. Crowd on a Sunday mid day was relaxed and everyone was pretty much self absorbed... typical. The place is rather large, which affords it the luxury of being able to have large cushy couches intermixed with tables and definitely gives the place a college dorm community room vibe.

Food - pretty good. The person who made my bagel sandwich was brand spanking new so I will give her a second shot. My bagel was burned and I swapped with my bud for his english muffin egg/ham/cheese sandwich (much much better - if I had ordered that instead this place would have been a solid four stars). They use fresh black forest ham on their egg sandwiches which is a nice touch. Nice variety of teas. Coffee was pretty good.

All in all, I will be back to try the other foods... and perhaps take a nap on the couch.

The coffee here is ok. Vegan pastries that I can find at comparable establishments for $2 sell for $3.50. I've been here twice, but I will never go again, due to the too-loud and too-lousy hip hop radio station that they've played during both of my visits.

This is a great coffee shop for doing work or studying.  There are plenty of IKEA desks and outlets for plugging in your laptop.  Free WiFi.
They have a nice couch set up too.

Coffee and food here is decent.  They get 5 stars for being a place big enough to take a table for a few hours and actually or feel like you're putting someone else out of a spot.

Very friendly service and delicious toasted sandwiches (I got the turkey-avocado and Swiss, with sprouts)! They seem to be out of ingredients (like particular kinds of bread and cheese) often, so I had to modify my order. This is a great place to relax, and it wasn't all that crowded when I came on a Tuesday afternoon.

The free wireless Internet was icing on the cake, but the router crashed at least three times per hour when I stayed there, so don't go expecting to play Starcraft II with your online buddies here. Whenever the wireless Internet crashed, customers sprang into action and power-cycled the router. So it seems to be the norm.

The other customers spanned the gamut of interesting: old Chinese men gossiping, freelance journalists, and authors researching into devil-worshipping. This ain't your Starbucks, folks.

Take Muni lines 38 or 38L to reach this place.

this is the closest cafe to my home & I hate it.

the coffee thermoses are usually bordering on empty the condiments kiosk is a horrid mess, the coffee is overpriced, the staff & manager give me evil vibes & the worst part is ....

the cafe they replaced [cafe mono] used to be a favorite place for me with cool barristas from my hood.

since it's a crap joint - it's usually a quiet place to take someone or get some work done. but ...

i'll bet they are plotting something wretched in this space.

damn. go away cafe euro.  maybe we can persuade canvas to reopen here.

free internet! need i say more?

kinda. the internet drops every 3-5 minutes. i've been here at least 10 times with my laptop and it's always been the same. i've frequented this place since it was cafe mono but i haven't been here since september bc i was so fed up with the internet problems. i might give it another try soon because it is my local cafe.

seats are always bountiful which i love because i've been a little traumatized by starbucks' wait/fight for seats.

the service has improved a lot since earlier this year, too. they're fun and play lovely music. they may be a little too laidback sometimes because the tables can get pretty dirty and it takes awhile before someone wipes em down.

what's up with the homeless guy who always hogs the awesome ikea desk with his laptop? yup. he's homeless. i saw him grab a banana from his shopping cart parked outside ..

the outer rich is well-known for its eastern european population and it makes sense that a euro cafe springs up right across from the Cathedral of the Holy Virgin.

by no means are the euro teens in this place holy or virgins...i mean last night  i was politely sitting with some friends reading, minding my own biz-- and i then heard rampant bickering and curse words being used by two tall, long-legged, jordache wearing teens using the computers setup in the back area.

after glancing back the second time one of them obnoxiously smiled and winked at me...what i then realized was that it wasn't me but actually a Jewish priest behind me she was targeting.

wow.  I was blown away by how these girls chose to flirt with the old rabbi over me and i continued sipping on my cappuccino that ended up keeping me awake for the next 3 hours..

so since the change in ownership the space feels slightly more modern from its old dusty look and is definitely more bright and offers a free wireless connection that seems to have decent bandwidth.

the snacks don't look so tasty and the espresso brewed for me was marginal.  huge space though it only stays open during the week until 10pm.

On the plus side, this caf has great ambience. It's cozy and the staff are so friendly. There's an eclectic mix of music... I've heard everything from Britney Spears to Elton John to Eric Clapton; they also play acoustic guitar, pop, and songs off movie soundtracks.

You can sit in the caf for hours without buying anything, and the staff doesn't give you dirty looks or kick you out like other places.

They usually don't turn on the lights, so it can be rather dark inside.

The main problem with this caf is the wifi internet. It's free, but unreliable. Sometimes it works perfectly all day; other times, it has to be reset every 5 minutes. (Patrons can reset it by unplugging the power, waiting a few seconds, then plugging it back in... if you're there and the internet goes out, ask a regular to show you how.) It's frustrating to not be able to log in when I'm trying to get work done. I guess that's why they have that saying "you get what you pay for."

If the internet worked consistently, I would have given this place 5 stars.
